Please Tell Martin that his dream still lives

Thank you Mr. King for your strength, and diligence that you displayed during your short live life of 39 years. 40 years ago a shot rang out that silenced the world with words that said Martin Luther King Jr. had been assassinated. Your name has been immortalized and we now celebrate your birthday as a federal holiday. Your dream is not dead as a matter of fact it has been resurrected , several have followed in your footsteps with words of keep "hope alive". The Million Man March was a when one million black men marched to Washington D.C. in 1995. Then 2 years later The Million Women March took place.

Then in 2007 we banned together because of a white tree, we had a march for "Jena 6". Martin you would have been proud of the unity that the world gained when black and whites and all nationalities stood together to fight against injustice! Martin the march started simple where a radio personality Michael Baisden wanted to go down to Jenna Louisiana to protest the injustice of a sentence that was being imposed on a young man for a fight. A few weeks later their was over 30,000 people marching for a cause. The beauty of the march was a true representation of your cause, non violence! The march opened the worlds eyes and made everyone think! Then Mr King I am so proud to tell you of Genarlow Wilson who had been convicted of aggravated child molestation because, at the age of seventeen, he had engaged in oral sex with a consenting fifteen-year-old at a New Year's Eve party. The Supreme Courts looked at his cases after a public up roar to over turn his case. Without the stand for justice this young man would still be locked up...

Martin we now have a black man and a woman fighting for the democratic nomination. Either way history is made, for either a black man or a woman will get the nod as a presidential candidate! So Martin the impact your life made allows the world to continue to reach new levels... You see Martin your death help create our birth, Thank you.
